Testing tower vibration sensors for wind energy installations

Reese und Thies Industrieelektronik GmbH from Itzehoe is testing its tower vibration sensors -developed for wind energy installations - on FINO3. Type CS2TU sensors have been installed at the top of the mast, halfway up and at the foot, which pick up the oscillation amplitude and frequency of the mast and transmit it to the evaluation unit in the measuring device container. This means that now, among other things, the behaviour of the structure can be documented under different external influences, (sea state, wind).
